Air Quality & Sport Challenge welcomes applications

10 February 2022 - SandSI’s Sustainable Sport Lab (SSL), together with ThinkSport and the Sustainable Mountain Alliance (SMA), has launched the Air Quality & Sport Challenge, a challenge aimed at generating innovative and impactful solutions for the sports world.

The challenge invites organisations big and small - including start-ups, established companies, not-for-profit organisations, academic, public institutions, and other stakeholders, to submit their action proposals aimed at addressing key Air Quality issues impacting sports, and the world, today.

This initiative is supported by prestigious stakeholders, including the International Olympic Committee, World Athletics, Formula E, UCI and ENGSO – who all share a strong interest in the outcomes of the Challenge.

The impact air quality has on sports and on regions all around the globe is one that, as an industry, we cannot afford to ignore. It is through initiatives such as the Air Quality & Sport Challenge, which brings together stakeholders from across the industry to work towards a common goal, that ideas on how to address these issues can be put into action.” Julia Pallé, SandSI President

Submission deadline is March 21, 2022. For more details, including where to send your ideas, visit:
